About this project

Anganvadis are government run kindergartens. Children belonging to families who cannot afford private schools sent their children to Anganvadis. The Anganvadis in the Panchayat were in a really bad condition. ARRT Foundation provided coir carpets for 3 Anganvadis, provided 300 litre water tanks for all the 12 Anganvadis in the Panchayat since they did not have water storage facilities. After the floods we provided toys and clothes for the children since most had lost their clothing during the floods.

ARRT Foundation also provided 10 cents of land free of cost to build a state of the art Anganvadi for the Panchayat.

Names of Donors

Deepa Vaishnavi and Divya Reghuram from Bangalore had collected contributions from their friends and well wishers to provide money for the coir carpets and also the water tanks which had been provided.

Outcomes

​

Installed water storage tanks for all the 12 Anganvadis

Donated 10 cents of land free to the Government to build a state of the Art Anganvadi

Carpeted 3 Anganvadis since the children used to sleep on moist damp floors earlier
